Investor Day: Water under pressure

In this issue of the Greenbank Review, we report on our 2024 Investor Day. The discussion focused on the social, environmental and economic risks posed by water scarcity, and the potential for companies and investors to offer solutions to these challenges.

Greenbank's Kate Elliot, head of ethical, sustainable and impact research chaired a panel discussion and Q&A with our Investor Day 2024 speakers.

Kai Johns, Greenbank’s senior ethical, sustainable and impact researcher addressed how Greenbank think about the issue of water and how it underpins a range of other sustainability issues.

Nick Voulvoulis, professor of environmental technology and deputy director of the Centre of Environmental Policy at Imperial College London gave an overview of the bigger picture around water scarcity.

Martin Gisbourne, chief strategy and sustainability officer and Jason Shingleton, group materials science and innovation director both from Genuit Group, introduced Genuit’s water management solutions business and outlined some of their water management products in detail.

Claire Elsdon, director of capital markets, CDP provided an overview of why water is such a critical sustainability consideration for companies and investors.
